Message To All Drivers on the Roadways
Give truckers a break or they will give you one – a message to all driver on the roadways.
No need to jump in front of them without warning or signaling and worst of all within a five or eight foot distance as they may have a limiter that will cause them to slow down significantly increasing the possibilities of an accident for those drivers behind them. As well as, creating unnecessary traffic due to slow downs that can be avoid if speeds are maintained at a steady pattern or range.
Why You Should Give Truckers A Break | Think Twice
Why you should give truckers a break and think twice, before cutting them off? Food for thought, often times most trucks with limiters will have cameras that will activate when they are forced to brake suddenly. These cameras will be recording you and your driving and which will prove or help determine you to be at fault especially since you cut them off, especially if that results in a wreck or worse….
So, give truckers a break or they will give you one…i.e. a break from life (at worst), a break from your job (hospital stay), a break from your ease of life…finances, disability…, court appointments, criminal charges…,etc.
We All Have a Role to Play in Society
Remember truckers are why you have food, clothes, and all the other stuff you like to purchase at the stores. They are the final go between from the manufacturer to the consumer (you). So think twice before you make their drive more difficult than it needs to be, after all, we all have a role to play in society and truckers play a crucial one.
So, think twice before cutting truckers off and or making their drive even more miserable than it needs to be…some of them just don’t get paid enough for that.
Time is Money
Time is money and many truck driver make their money hourly and by the miles driven. Keep in mind that some of the truck drivers you encounter on the roadways have been driving for 8 or more hours straight.
Yes, there are rules that trucker drivers must adhere to or go by when it comes to length of time spent driving and this may vary from state to state.
Twelve hours is one of the longest time frames allowed by some states for driving and we all know that there are plenty of reckless drivers out there that truckers will encounter within that time frame. Let alone on a daily basis of driving such hours, so think twice before adding to their roster of bad road encounters. Time is money and we are all trying to get somewhere with both.
Summary
Remember, truckers are an essential part of making your life a bit easier. So, show some gratitude by not cutting them off on the roadways or go the extra mile by giving them room to maneuver and or enter freeways and highways and certainly don’t jump in front of them only to slam on your brakes or go slower than the speed limit…that is just rude and asinine and will create problems for other innocent drivers, possibly endangering them.
